Tor at the speed
of thought

The first browser where Tor isn't a mode you enable — it's a layer that's always there. Onion sites load instantly. Clearnet stays fast. You decide which path every site takes.

Privacy isn't a setting.
It's the default.

Instant Onion

Tor connects in the background the moment you launch. No waiting, no toggles, no separate window. .onion sites feel like regular sites.

avg circuit time: <200ms

Split Routing

Clearnet traffic stays on clearnet. Tor traffic goes through Tor. Every site gets the path it needs — automatically, without slowing anything down.

zero config needed
🎯

Per-Site Rules

Force any site through Tor — even if it's not an onion address. Privacy policies per domain. Set once, enforced forever.

regex support
🔒

Security First

Built on Firefox's hardened engine. Fingerprint resistance. First-party isolation. No telemetry. No compromises between security and usability.

Actually Beautiful

Privacy browsers don't have to look like they're from 2009. Matrix Browser ships with a dark, minimal design language that respects your eyes and your screen.

SITE

Tor Browser makes you wait. You open it, stare at a connection screen, then browse everything through a slow proxy.

Matrix Browser connects Tor in the background before you even type a URL. When you hit an onion address, the circuit is already ready. When you browse clearnet, you're on your normal connection. No friction. No compromise.

Daily Driver

Your actual browser.
Not a darknet toy.

"Tor is for criminals"

Tor is used by journalists, activists, whistleblowers, and millions of normal people who just don't want their ISP selling their browsing history. Matrix Browser makes Tor invisible — you use the same browser for everything.

"It's slow"

Only when you're on Tor. Clearnet traffic goes through your normal connection — just as fast as Chrome or Firefox. Tor is a lane, not a bottleneck.

"I don't need privacy"

Privacy isn't about hiding. It's about choosing what you share. Matrix Browser gives you the option — Tor when you want it, direct when you don't. No philosophy lesson required.

🧅 + 🌐

One browser. Two internets. Zero compromises.

How It Works

Three layers.
Zero effort.

Background Tor Daemon

On launch, Matrix spins up an optimized Tor process in the background. No splash screen, no loading bar — it just happens.

Smart Proxy Routing

Every URL you visit is checked against your rules. .onion? Tor. Whitelisted clearnet site? Tor. Everything else? Direct connection.

Per-Site Policy Engine

Right-click any tab, select "Route via Tor always" — done. Your rule is saved. That site will forever use Tor, even across restarts.
